Please join us as we proudly celebrate the grand opening of the Monument View Trail section of the Colorado Riverfront Trail Project in Grand Junction, Colorado.
Friday, September 5, 2014, 11:30 a.m.
at the Walter Walker State Wildlife Area

Railroad Ave., Grand Junction, Colorado
The ceremony will begin at 11:30 a.m., lasting approximately one hour and feature guest speakers from the Colorado Riverfront Trail Project partner organizations and Great Outdoors Colorado. Light refreshments will be served.

Bring your walking shoes or bicycle, the trail will be open to the public for non-motorized travel after the ceremony.

Guests from the press are welcome to arrive 15 minutes early for equipment set up.

August 29-31: Grand Junction Off-Road MTB endurance event and community concert




BYO BIKE, COSTUME, & COWBELL

The Hot Tomato Klunker Krit is raging again on August 29 at 6pm in downtown Grand Junction.  Decorate bicycles at 4th & Main then band together at the start line on 3rd & Main.  Hot Tomato schwag awarded to the most creative participants. Bring the whole family.  Eat dinner downtown and watch the Fat Tire Criterium races from 6:15-7pm.

Join us for the Palisade Afterglow Party at the Palisade Brewery.  If you are coming from outside of Palisade and would like to ride your bike to the party, but find the commute to be too long or intimidating, join Palisade Rec at Palisade High School for a group park and ride.  We will meet riders at 5:30pm on the east end of the PHS parking lot.  The group will leave no later than 5:45pm to head to the Brewery. The event will feature drink and food specials for cyclists, plus great door prizes for riders!  Don’t forget your helmet and bike lock.

Wednesday - Free Breakfast - BYO Bicycle

 The final week of Bike Month is here! Which means Bike to Work Day is in this Wednesday! Don't forget to bring your bike to work and ride to breakfast downtown (City Hall), Fruita Recreation Center, Double Tree Hotel on Horizon, or the Palisade Plaza.

 Also, check out the calendar at www.healthymesacounty.org for this week's event information; this week's events include bike rides and Afterglows at the local breweries and downtown Fruita!
