We are a group of citizens, cyclists and motorists working toward significantly increasing active transportation in the Grand Valley.
We seek to collaboratively engage public and private stakeholders through outreach, education and fun, in order to increase bicycle accessibility and connectivity, improve cycling infrastructure, advance bicycling and traffic safety, and encourage enforcement.
Join us for the Palisade Afterglow Party at the
Palisade Brewery. If you are coming from outside of Palisade and would
like to ride your bike to the party, but find the commute to be too long
or intimidating, join Palisade Rec at Palisade
High School for a group park and ride. We will meet riders at 5:30pm on the east end of the PHS parking lot. The group will leave no later than 5:45pm to head to the Brewery. The event will feature drink and food specials for cyclists, plus great door prizes
for riders! Don’t forget your helmet and bike lock.
Contact Sarah Brooks at 464-5602 if you have questions.
The final week of Bike Month is here! Which means Bike to Work Day is in this Wednesday!
Don't forget to bring your bike to work and ride to breakfast downtown
(City Hall), Fruita Recreation Center, Double Tree Hotel on Horizon, or
the Palisade Plaza.
Also, check out the calendar at www.healthymesacounty.org
for this week's event information; this week's events include bike
rides and Afterglows at the local breweries and downtown Fruita!
